Was given the opportunity to help out in the kitchen and learn a few cooking tricks. Made lots of friends there and learnt lots of things. Here are some pictures to whet your appetite. I know the basic theory only. Don't ask me to cook :-p Spent most of the time cutting and chopping vegetables, tasting and eating both kinds of diets (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) available.

The old kitchen is being rebuilt as of today - 26 Sep 2014. The temporary kitchen and dining is now at the funeral area. The old dining hall has completed renovations and had welcome its first guests last week for Luang Por Tong's birthday celebrations.
It takes a considerable amount of strength and technique to handle that big spatula. I tried it for a few times of a few minutes each time. Sore muscles for the novice.
The last second picture is fresh Assam boiled in chicken rice type chilli sauce (vinegar based) for the extra omph~!
